Covid-19 - Safe To Go

2020 has presented many challenges, challenges we have faced and adapted to, in order to create as safe a working environment as possible, adhering to all Covid-19 safety guidance issued by the UK and Scottish Governments.

All students are expected to wear a face covering when travelling through all Gordon Nicolson Kiltmakers/Edinburgh Kiltmakers Academy premises. Face visors are issued to our students for wearing statically at their desks. Desks are assigned and thoroughly cleaned at the start and end of the day. Hand sanitiser is issued to all students for their use throughout the day and we strongly urge you bring and keep your own sewing equipment every week - sharing is strictly out of bounds at the moment. Students are fever tested throughout the course, especially prior to any closer contact measuring, which is also carried out with gloves on.

Our class sizes are always very small, no more than five students per class - this means we can successfully maintain social distancing when sitting at desks and take precaution of who is travelling around us when moving around the building.

Safety guidance is subject to change, and we work exceptionally hard to adhere to any and all safety instructions in light of the pandemic. If you have any concerns about this, please get in touch. A full health & safety brief is given at the start of every course.
